Bret Tidwell – Founder & Owner
Bret’s passion for building began on his family ranch in the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico, where he developed a deep respect for hard work, craftsmanship, and resourcefulness. After a successful career as a commercial airline pilot and check airman, Bret carried forward the same precision, discipline, and commitment to excellence that defined his aviation career into the world of homebuilding. Since 2013, he has combined his lifelong interest in energy efficiency, with a relentless drive for quality to create homes that are both beautifully designed and thoughtfully built. With a gift for seeing the big picture and a strategic vision that inspires those around him, Bret brings together skilled teams and guides them to deliver on every detail. Clients trust him not only for his expertise, but also for his integrity and ability to bring their vision to life—crafting homes that reflect both who they are and how they want to live
Karen Kneiss, project designer
Karen Kneiss – Award-Winning Designer
For more than 30 years, Karen has been helping families across Cleveland’s east and west sides create homes that feel both beautiful and truly livable. An award-winning designer with a bachelor’s degree in design from Miami University’s ASID-accredited program, she brings a thoughtful blend of style, function, and heart to every project. Karen is known not only for her eye for design and knowledge of trends, but also for the genuine relationships she builds—with clients, partners, and colleagues alike. Her favorite moments are the ones when clients see their vision come to life—because she knows a home is more than walls and finishes; it’s where life happens. At her core, Karen believes design is about making the world a better place by strengthening people and the connections they share.
